Scarce double bravery awards to William Morgan: Medal of St John in bronze & the rare Quiver Medal (only 106 ever awarded). For rescuing an intoxicated passenger at Portland Road Station, London, 1894 (see description)
Medal of St John & Quiver Medal to William Morgan. For rescuing a passenger at Portland Road Station, London on 8 February 1894. The man was partially intoxicated, had fallen on the metals in front of the train, but was rescued by two porters who jumped onto the line for the purpose, pushed the man under the edge of the platform, and held him there until the train had passed them and was stopped. With original St John paper 27 July 1894. An interesting lot.
