Russia, a good WWII group of 7 medals with original papers and research to Vladimir Platonovich Chkonaya, a Private Submachine Gunner of the Submachine Gun Company, defending for the Battle for the Caucasus, offensive operations in Gelendzhik, Bolshekrepinskaya and Prague, also defensive operations in Western Ukraine, Donbas, the lower reaches of the Don River, and the Battle of Rostov, his son writes his account of how he killed 10 German soldiers on the 21st - 30th September 1943, he was surrounded by German soldiers during a battle near Gelendzhik, he was awarded the Medal of Valour, later he was awarded the Medal of Glory near the hamlet of Bezymyanny by destroying an enemy machine gun spot by crawling up to the spot, he was wounded by shrapnel in the head and finger but continued fighting, see history, a good lot
