Group of 5 to Lieutenant Colonel Noel Clive Phillips, 1st Battalion, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment: Distinguished Service Order, Military Cross, Queen's South Africa Medal (5 bars) & 1914/15 trio, he joined the regiment on the 24th August 1901 and saw service in the south African War, he resigned his commission in 1904 and joined the BOMBAY Burma Trading Company at Rangoon, he then returned home at the outbreak of WWI and recommissioned into the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment on the 15th February 1915 as a Captain, he served with great gallantry at the Battle of Loos were he won the D.S.O. and Military Cross, he was also badly wounded at Loos having been gassed, he returned to Burma in 1920 were he became manger of the company, he left Burma in 1931 and subsequently took part in leading life in Radnorshire where he was part of the Agricultural Committee, he was also High Sheriff of the county in 1938 and appointed a Justice of the Peace in 1942 to 1955, he died in 1961, with this group comes original paperwork plus a large file of research
