Distinguished Flying Cross group of 7 to 130710 Flying Officer Brian Frederick Fermor, 223 Squadron, RAF. Flying as a Wireless Operator Air Gunner since August 1940, he took part in the campaigns in Greece, Crete, Syria, Iraq and Persia, and has completed over 70 sorties. This group comes complete with his miniatures, a silver cigarette case with a mosque engraved at the front, dated Iraq 1941, at the back are engraved some ruins, complete with photo album, lots of photographs of Greece, Jerusalem, Palestine, Iraq & the Middle East, Air Efficiency Medal London Gazette 28th November 1946, Distinguished Flying Cross London Gazette 23rd July 1943, a scarce lot
