Distinguished Flying Medal group of 5 to 51673 Pilot Officer Basil Arthur Curtis, RAF.
Early award of the DFM, LG: 22/10/1940, Wireless Operator/ Air Gunner, he completed 38 ops. over Germany (Berlin, other targets, see list) on Wellington Bombers.
He has always shown great courage and set a good example to other Gunners.
29/4/1943 aged 22 KIA over Denmark with 196 Squadron, where he was attacked by a M.E.110, all crew killed.
Remembered with honour at Aabenraa Cemetery.
Complete with all medals and box of issue, lots of history, a scarce lot
