Father and son RAF group with the British Empire Medal (Military Division) for Bravery to 1366120 Sergeant James Morrison, RAF, awarded for rescuing an airman from a petrol blaze after a Blenheim aircraft crashed into vehicles including a motor tanker containing 2000 gallons of petrol, the aircraft and tanker bursting into flames, Morrison running from a nearby hut into the fire, pulling the airman clear and beating out the flames on his clothing with overalls, receiving burns himself (Edinburgh Evening News 7th September 1943), with original medal box of issue and original Buckingham Palace investiture letter dated 24th April 1945 for 8th May 1945, together with his son’s service group to 585359 Chief Technician W. McLagan Morrison, RAF, who joined as a 62 Entry at RAF Halton and graduated 27th May 1952, with full supporting history and paperwork.
