Nazi Germany, lot to Knight's Cross winner Staff Officer General Major Julius von Bernith.
Born 1897. Served in Russia in WW1 from October 1914 with the 115 Regiment.
After the war, he took part in the Munich Putsch in 1923.
Later took part in the Poland Campaign as Company Officer of the Panzer Army.
Awarded the bar to the Iron Cross, then bar to first class. Later took part in the surender of France & Belgium.
Later personally awared the Knight's Cross by Hitler. With newspaper cutting 6th August 1941.
Killed in Russia on 12th July 1944.
Comes with original photos, news cuttings, and original death letter. A scarce lot.
