Citation Summary:

During the breakthrough of the enemy's permanent defenses in the area of the village of Kameshki, he, together with the topographic reconnaissance squad, operated within the infantry combat formations. Despite intense enemy fire, he skilfully and fearlessly identified enemy weapons positions and marked them on survey maps, thereby ensuring timely and accurate artillery fire.

In just three days of fighting, from June 9 to June 12, 1944, he discovered and mapped five machine-gun nests, one artillery battery, and one anti-tank gun. Thanks to the timely identification, these targets were effectively suppressed by our regiment's artillery fire.

Starting from June 20, 1944, he served as a field telephone operator, fulfilling his assigned combat tasks with ingenuity and bravery. For example, in the battle for Hill 38.0, under heavy enemy artillery fire, he repaired six breaks in the telephone line, thereby ensuring uninterrupted command communication for our artillery units and timely fire support for attacking infantry.

He is deserving of the Order of Glory, 3rd Class.
